Birds of a Femur: Comparative Skeleton Morphology
This project is an exploratory data analysis of a dataset containing measurements of 420 bird skeletons. The goal of the analysis was to compare the basic proportions (wing versus leg length) of various categories of birds. Throughout the process, I referred to the scientific literature about bird morphology, and I was pleased to find that my results reflected some of the scientific accounts of bird body plans.
